The imminent failure of the Melbourne Bike Share Scheme – It ain’t just dumb helmet laws.

A blog post from Wellington Region Cycleways examines reasons why the Melbourne Bike Share scheme may fail.

Unfortunately the blogger doesn’t mention the lack of imagination in the promotion material, but does cover the way the hire station locations could be improved.  Here’s an example – if you join the bike share scheme before the end of October, you go in the draw to win a voucher to stay at an RACV resort!

Mike Rubbo made this little commentary as well.

I like the question from one of the interviewees “Why would I leave the house carrying a helmet and not a bicycle” Says it all really.
